Just a quick update to let everyone know whats going on. I have been a bit bus but I’m working on some new stories, and some movie reviews. You should see some of this appearing over the next couple of days. If anyone is interested I am still putting together short gay romance stories for a collection, if you have anything you’ve written you’d like to be considered please use the “Submit Story” link, or send it to me directly. webmaster[at]gayfic[dot]com thanks.
They’re back! The characters from “Eating Out”, well most of them anyway. This time the lie may be equally as adventure ensuing, but the guy is much hotter! His name is Troy and yes you get to see his penis! Just like in the first eating out, this one features frontal nudity as well… full frontal.
After breaking up with his boyfriend, rebounding college student Kyle (Jim Verraros) turns his attention to Troy, a handsome male model in his art class. Farm boy Troy claims to be straight, but an unconvinced Kyle decides to take him to a campus support group for “reformed” gays to find out the truth. Kyle’s silly attempts to prove that Troy is gay lead to a series of confusing hookups and farcical situations.
All eye candy aside, the bad analogies and “American Pie” style humor still live in the sequel. I enjoyed the sequel more than the original, but it’s still not something I would buy. Marc is replaced in this one by a dude who doesn’t look much like him in the first one, that was probably one of the hardest things to get around, trying to imagine it was the same person as I watched the movie. The other problem I had with this one is that Tiffany’s character has changed, although still played by the same person, and still a slut, something got lost on this one. Oh well, still an “okay” gay movie, worth renting.
Honestly over all I thought this was a good movie. It was a good story, the acting was just “okay”. The eye candy was good, there are a few flaccid wieners in this move, nothing to write home about. This is a cool move to rent, probably not something to buy.
In this offbeat, convoluted comedy of errors, college student Caleb (Scott Lunsford) has the hots for Gwen (Emily Stiles), who seems to relate better to gay men than to their straight counterparts. Hoping to help his pal attract Gwen’s attention, Caleb’s gay roommate, Kyle (Jim Verraros), persuades his friend to pretend he’s gay. But the plan rapidly unravels when Marc, Gwen’s gay roommate and Kyle’s secret love, falls for the imposter.
As an ‘American Pie’ type romantic comedy, it wins. Anyone who interprets it as anything more than that will be disappointed. So in conclusion, not the best gay movie I ever saw, but defiantly not the worst.
I just finished reading “Spare Parts” By Scott Pomfret & Scott Whittier.
Once I picked this book up I just couldn’t put it down. I took it everywhere with me, work, home, friends houses, the car, everywhere! The characters are delicious, the story it great, the whole book is just awesome! Dan is exactly the type of guy I myself would fall head over heels for. Although some of the characters are a bit cliche they are still believable and good. I can’t say anything bad about this book other than a few grammatical errors, that were not difficult at all to overlook. A red marker is not what this story had me holding. The sex love scenes were well placed, they were burning up, and I couldn’t read them fast enough. This book has a solid nearly perfect ending, and I’m big on endings, everything was wrapped up neatly for me just the way I hoped it would play out. If you like gay romance, and you haven’t read this yet, what in the world are you waiting for? (Get It Here!)
I also put a link to the ‘Romentics’ website over with the links. I encourage you to check it out, and maybe buy some books (or e-books) while your there. You can rest assured that you will be seeing another book from the series here on the site as a book of the month soon, or just a book I enjoyed reaing. Let’s support our gay authors, especially the good ones like these guys, so they can keep on writing those books we crave.
Some users have informed us that our site is not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 8, which was upgraded in the last windows update.
We are (I am) working as quickly as possible to fix this issue. Thanks for your patients in this.
Just a quick site update for everyone. GayFic.com has more visits than ever, but I would (in true webmaster form) like to see more traffic on the site. Although I have been experimenting with some advertising (here comes the sob story) out of my own pocket, I’d like to see more traffic. I want to share my site along with good Gay Fiction with everyone. So if you like this site, and you would feel comfortable sharing it with others, please do so. Whether it be in a chatroom, your bedroom, the bar, on the phone, anywhere really, please feel free to pass us on. Also if you have a website that is related to gay fiction, please contact us, we would like to exchange links with you. You have my sincere thanks in advanced.
Also on a quick side note I’m planning an anthology, the first ever for GayFic.com in fact, in the very near future. I want to collect five or ten gay romantic short stories to publish. I will have full details soon, if you’re interested in submitting a short story for consideration, you may do so here, if you have any questions please contact us webmaster[at]gayfic[dot]com.
For May I’ll be reading “Spare Parts” By Scott Pomfret & Scott Whittier. You’re invited to join the discussion! If your interested you can grab this book below.
Dan is a mechanic with a chain of successful garages and a lonely life. Trent is a recent grad, a struggling photographer with an empty wallet and bills to pay. But an old enemy is trying to ruin Dan’s business. Trent is posing as a prostitute. And a secret from their past could destroy everything. Is it fate or bad luck that brings them together one dark night? And can they build a life out of all these spare parts?
Happy reading, can’t wait to discuss it everyone.
I have to admit I liked this one. The acting was just ok for me, and the plot moved along kinda slowly. None the less it was still a good story.
Frat boy Griff (Daniel Chilson), who works hard to keep his brothers in the dark about his intimate encounters with Pete (Don Handfield), is forced to come to terms with his sexual identity in this touching drama. Pete, who left the frat house for a more liberating off-campus life, wants a real relationship, while Griff claims he only wants sex. But when gay-bashing thugs beat Pete into a coma, Griff must face his true feelings for him.
However predictable, I still liked this movie. It’s worth watching. All the characters are likable, although the way they say things screams 1990’s cliché frat boy. This makes sense I guess because the movie was made in 1999 but ten years later it just comes off as bad acting. Anyhow I digress, the bottom line is it’s a good movie and worth checking out.
It’s the classic story… Boy meets boy, wait a minute, no it isn’t. Today I watched “Boy Culture”. This movie tries to shake up every cliché about the gay hustler movie genre, and it does an ok job. There are a few unexpected turns, but for the most part this one was easy to figure out.
A male prostitute with the enigmatic name of X (Derek Magyar) carefully avoids personal intimacy and affection, and is only interested in sex when he’s being paid for it. X maintains his stoic approach to sex and love until one of his regular customers (Patrick Bauchau) tempts him to reconsider his position by sharing a meaningful story. Director Q. Allan Brocka premiered his unconventional love story at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
Good story, worth watching. It’s nice that this story gets away from the druggie, sickly vibe, made it more enjoyable to watch.
“Loving You, Loving Me” is a great story hosted over at “Gay Authors“. The story and the site are worth checking out. This story takes you for a ride through romance, it’s written in a classy way too! I really liked how the sensual aspect was there, but it didn’t need to be sexual to be a great exciting story. This story is devided into fifteen parts, some larger than others, but it will hold your interest, trust me! Overall this is one of my top ten favorite stories ever. If your interested in reading it heres a link.
